Within Twineham Parish boundaries is the hamlet of Hickstead, better known as the home of the All England Show Jumping Course. In 1999 Hickstead celebrated its 40th anniversary as the home of international show jumping in Great Britain. Since the creation of the facility in 1960, what was once a rural field has been transformed into the world's number one show jumping arena.
